NAB (National Australia Bank) is a major bank
NAB Exposed Score: 2 out of 10
Our experience with NAB:
  • Be very cautious around KYC and NAB – the bank will run you around in circles and waste a lot of your time
  • Poorly narrated IVR (telephone voice) system and will transfer you from department to department and cause you great frustration and irritation
  • Poor customer service with limited trading hours
  • Understaffed and indifferent business bankers
  • Very few branches and many without tellers so cannot be used for actual banking
  • Wait times at branches is often more than 15 minutes
  • Under-trained staff who mainly work from home and transfer you from department to department
  • NAB online banking interface and usability is unprofessional with very limited filters and often hangs or is very slow
  • NAB Connect and NAB Transact poorly laid out, difficult to use and highly limited
  • Very low interest payments on savings and term deposits
  • Excessively difficult to obtain a home or business loan because of NAB’s onerous requirements
  • Extremely high merchant fees and costs
Recommendation: Do not use NAB for banking in Australia because you will be charged excessively and be treated very poorly for having done so
