Laptop lost during repair

Bought a laptop for my daughter. After 6 weeks, the touchpad broke. Sent it back for repair and they -or their courier - lost it. It has been gone for over a month now but every time I phone they say they are waiting for the courier to investigate. They promise to phone back but never do. Really fed up .
