Our floor tiles popped up after 8 years installation, and all the tiles are no longer bonded to the concrete surface throughout the entire floor tile area. But Metricon refused to replace them all as they said our 7 year warranty period is over. Not to mention we had faced issues from start to finish of construction, such as time delay, extra costs they charged after signing the contract, which we ended up paying more than the total cost in the contract, had 2 big cracks in the ceiling, one big damaged plaster on the ceiling, 2 cracks on the wall tiles, chipped floor tiles, chipped cupboards, uneven plaster surface of walls & ceiling, the range-hood canopy and the panel lift garage door were poorly installed that needed fixing, brand new stove not working and needed repairing, pantry shelves were wobbly that needed fixing, and after 8 years we discovered at one rain water down pipe there was no hole on the gutter for roof water to run into the down pipe, and this was discovered by the plumber who installed our rain water tank, and we had to hire him to re-do it, and the list goes on….which I can’t be bothered wasting my time typing them all on here!… With all this issues we started to question about the structure of the home and all the rest of it, as we don’t know whether there will be anymore problems to our home later on.
With all what we have been through we will never recommend Metricon to anyone!
