Lack of common sense!

I am flying to Mumbai from Blantyre, with my family. I have a set of twins that are less than a year old. Obviously I need a seat that allows for us to have a bassinet. I don’t see that as asking for too much! When I called the airline to ask for those seats to be booked they said that those seats are premium seats but we are welcome to put the twins in the bassinet and sit away from them and check on them regularly! Does it make sense to leave you less than one year old children far away from you!!
