This item, due to its very flimsy construction, is not fit for purpose. The base of the pan is paper thin and does not distribute the heat safely.
Last night we decided to cook chips in it, on an electric stove. Due to the thin base not distributing heat properly, the oil exploded and started a fire. The oil was just heating up at that time. The oil went all over our kitchen.
The packing was ridiculously overdone; a small carton inside a hugely oversize carton with unnecessary amounts of plastic packing. Landfill.
