The next thing to go was the seat, first the fabric started to fall apart, then the stiches became loose, followed by wires being exposed and the filler started to come out - This was within the warranty period, so I followed up with the company and they said this is falls under wear and tear.
The chair has fallen apart faster than any other brand I have owned, to the extent of the wires inside the chair ripping clothing and causing bodily harm - The support team said this isn't a valid warranty claim and offered to replace the seat at a discount price of £70, but doing this once a year is ridiculous. You are much better off getting the Markus chair from Ikea (My previous chair that lasted 5 years and costed 1/4 the price). I am not sure what would even class as a valid warranty claim.
I would honestly say the bottom line of secret lab chairs are: Amazing for the first few months, after which they are not fit for purpose.
