Xcaliber 9 only 4 months old and light use started clicking when pedalling narrowed it down to BB or cranks then singled out movement in cranks after replacing BB with Hope one. Mechanic said could feel it yet only regreased BB.4 1/2 months after noise came back , personally think mechanic overtightened something to stop the noise. Got in touch with Trek again don't really want to know. I can take it in to dealer but will have to pay if they don't find a manufacturing fault. No confidence in the mechanic to sort it out after just regreasing BB.
Could not recommend Trek. Have got 23 year old GT which has never given me any problems.
